| Read Our Blog Read Our Blog Blog Three Certifications Help Supermom Reach the Next Level Lloret De Mar Pelayo February 15, 2019 Training, Workforce zero Jessica Sanders, a single mom of a six-12 months-old boy, had labored in home look after 5 years when in the future, she found herself to be underemployed. Jessica knew she needed to remain in the medical business, but wanted assistance in enhancing her job seeking skills and pursuing academic alternatives. Through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act program at Able’s Chicago Heights location, Jessica discovered what she wanted. She worked with profession coach, Cheryl Travis, to improve her job in search of skills. Cheryl says, “Jessica was a pleasure to work with! Despite dealing with the challenges of being a single mother, Jessica stayed determined.” Through her analysis and her work with Cheryl, Jessica enrolled in a Certified Medical Assistant program. “I needed to go to high school twice per week and the gap was powerful, National Able Networ k helped with the sources,” says Jessica. While going to high school, Jessica also participated in many of the workshops that National Able Network offered. Jessica says, “They helped me get to the point I am now. Doing my workshops online was convenient as a result of I was very busy!” After about eight months, Jessica successfully accomplished the program! She earned three certifications: EKG Technician Certification, Phlebotomy Technician Certification, and Medical Assistant Certification. After all her onerous work and dedication, in April 2018, Jessica was employed! She is now employed as a Certified Medical Assistant with Physicians Prompt Care. Congratulations, Jessica!
